What a great week of riding during the pre-ride. While nothing can compare to riding with 10,000 of your closest friends in July, here are some thoughts from the pre-riders that rode the entire route the other week.

The children of the RAGBRAI XXXVIII overnight communities were invited to participate in the annual RAGBRAI Kids' Art Contest. We need your help to select the winning artwork!
The Iowa Civil Justice Foundation and the Iowa Bicycle Coalition announced a joint Safe Cycling project promoting bicycle helmet use for Iowa kids. The groups will collaborate to outfit children with new bike helmets at community events across the state.

How fast can you change a tire? July 24th is your chance to prove how fast you can change a tire in the World Tire Changing Championship at the RAGBRAI Expo in Sioux City, Iowa.
The most common comment I hear from people who do RAGBRAI is not that their legs hurt but that their seat/bottom/derriere/buttocks hurts. One of the most important reasons for training prior to riding RAGBRAI is to make sure your seat is prepared for hours in your bike saddle.
We were joined for Saturday’s ride with some Manchester RAGBRAI committee members as well as some area friends who joined the pre-ride team again for the 47 mile ride from Manchester to Dubuque.
