Tickets Selling Fast for Route Announcement Party

Saturday, January 29, 2011
Iowa Events Center’s Hy-Vee Hall (Downtown Des Moines)
8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Tickets are selling fast for the RAGBRAI Route Announcement Party benefitting the Iowa Bicycle Coalition on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Iowa Event Center’s Hy-Vee Hall in Downtown Des Moines.  Be there as the RAGBRAI XXXIX overnight towns are revealed!

Last year this event sold out quickly and tickets are selling faster than last year!  Yes, we added more tables and space so more people can attend this year’s event, but we do expect the event to sell out again.

It looks like we will have lots of teams in attendance and not just teams from Iowa!  Tickets and tables have been snatched up by teams like Rawhide Riders, AJAX, Team Lanning and the Whiners, who are bringing close to 50 people from Michigan!

The evening will feature the high-energy, live music of the Johnny Holm Band, who have entertained RAGBRAI riders for many years including recent stops in Spencer, Jefferson, Indianola and last year in Storm Lake.

In addition to live music and the RAGBRAI route announcement, this special night will feature:

  • Live Auctions
  • Silent Auctions
  • Door Prizes
  • “Guess the Route” Raffles
  • Iowa Bicycle Coalition Updates
  • Complimentary RAGBRAI-style hors d’oeuvres & Drinks
  • Complimentary Michelob Ultra and Bud Light Drafts (also a Cash Bar)
  • Special Commemorative Pint Glass (See Photo above)
  • Fun for ALL!

Tickets on sale now: $30

The doors will open at 8:00 p.m. and the fun lasts until 11:00 p.m.! Iowa Bicycle Coalition members are invited to enter early for a members-only VIP Pre-Party beginning from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Iowa Bicycle Coalition.  The Iowa Bicycle Coalition builds partnerships, educates Iowans, and helps to establish safe and enjoyable bicycle transportation and recreation networks throughout Iowa.
