Now on Sale: Counting Crows at RAGBRAI’s 40th Bash Tickets in Cedar Rapids



Cedar Rapids and the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa will host Counting Crows live in concert on Thursday, July 26, 2012.  Tickets to this special evening event commemorating RAGBRAI’s 40th Celebration can be purchased online are now on sale at www.CedarRapidsRAGBRAI.com. General admission tickets are $25 in advance. Only Visa, MasterCard and Discover accepted online.

On Monday, April 16, tickets may also be purchased in person at the Theatre Cedar Rapids box office located at 102 Third Street SE in Cedar Rapids for the same price. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cash and checks also accepted at the box office.

On Thursday, July 26, general admission tickets will be $35 and must be purchased at the box office. If the concert sells out, tickets will not be available on the day of the event. Theatre Cedar Rapids is the only ticket outlet for this event.

The concert stage will be located in downtown Cedar Rapids on 1st Street SE, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues SE, near the Alliant Energy tower. The entire concert venue will include May’s Island and the 2nd and 3rd Avenue bridges. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.; music begins at 5 p.m. The concert ends at 11:00 p.m. No ticket refunds will be issued.

All tickets are general admission. 

Counting Crows and the RAGBRAI® 40th Celebration is a rain or shine event. No outside food or drinks will be allowed. Food and drink will be available for purchase at several stands. Registered RAGBRAI® riders will receive free admission to this concert.

COUNTING CROWS hails from the San Francisco Bay area and consist of Adam Duritz (vocals), David Bryson (guitar), Charles Gillingham (keyboards), Dan Vickrey (guitar), Jim Bogios (drums), and Millard Powers (bass). COUNTING CROWS success dates back to their 1993 debut release August and Everything After and the hit single “Mr. Jones.” The band recently hit #1 with the song “Accidentally in Love,” which was featured on the Shrek 2 soundtrack, as well as nominations in 2005 for a Grammy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and an Academy Award for the track. COUNTING CROWS has sold over 20 million records worldwide. Counting Crows released a new album Underwater Sunshine on April 10.

So,I take it we can’t get in free with our wristband, huh?

Perhaps read the entire piece before you start flipping out. It clearly says that registered participants do not need tickets only their wristband.
