RAGBRAI 2012: Characters in Clutier

Clutier – If you’re looking for RAGBRAI characters, look no farther than here.

Riders had to take a short detour from the highway to visit the second pass-through town on today’s route, but it was worth it.

Why? you ask. Exhibit A:

 

This guy was advertising a local booth selling the Big Bohemie Sandwich, a meaty tribute to the town’s Czech roots. Riders with cultural curiostiy but daintier appetites opted for a photo opp:

Riders could also meet the reigning Tama County Pork Queen, who held court near a giant grill of BBQ ribs.

 

And last but not least among the Clutier characters, Sunny the goat:

Michael Morain

Michael has ridden at least part of RAGBRAI for the last five years -- and has eaten his weight in pie every time. He's also been known to pedal an extra 10 or 15 miles to find homemade ice cream.
