great route! I hope Des Moines works out! Bigger cities can be a problem.

Since you don’t know the identity of the pass through towns yet. How can you know the mileage and feet of climb?

Great route, since I live in grinnell I was able to get motels reserved my only bad experience was with Perry, I had my confirmation and payment went through at my bank everything was perfect hotel pattee, so excited…then the dreadful phone call last night, they said I could not have my room that was confirmed and paid for upfront, they would refund my money and were canceling my room! Im like your kidding…right…the girl at the Hotel said NO and was rude and hung up on me…guess Hotel Pattee was not prepared or something has gone wrong, she did tell me that the HOTEL had been booked 2 weeks prior to Ragbrai staff, which is fine but…dont confirm I have my room and take payment and then 3 days later call and say I cant have it..kinda ruins our entire plans…Now what…of course Perry was my first call to make within one minute…Oh and wanted to mention I had Fairfield picked weeks ago, infact at the Fairfield booth on sat..I even told the guy at the booth, he was an overnighter..he smiled and said I hope your right,I also had Knoxville right on, I told Craig at his booth, my guess and I had Oskaloosa right but..not even close for the Des Moines, perry,Harlan…surprise!Des MOINES WILL put on a nice time and great band..Thanks for all you do, my hubby rode with you on the pre ride when it was in grinnell, I helped at the corners directing that day..Lol

Since you talk about perry and the fact that them and rippey hold the brr ride every year. why don’t you make rippey a pass thru town and follow the path the brr riders take.
