A group of us from The Chainlink in Chicago
thought it would be nice to meet other Chicagoland Ragbrai riders before the
big ride.Tentative plan includes a ride
and bbq, at a beach or someone’s house.Thoughts, suggestions?

1-4:45 PM – Hang out at Montrose Beach
Ride 2 miles to host’s house
5-6:30 – Potluck BBQ

Might be able to do that!I grew up on the North side, so parking at Montrose Beach would be best I assume?

parking at montrose is a beast, yes. I would recommend if you bring your bike in your car park and ride over to us. Or if you are running late you can just meet me at my house, I will probably leave the beach a little early to set up, prob around 4:30 or so.

That sounds fun. I’m a first timer as well as my buddy (we formed a team). He lives in Wrigleyville while I’m out in the land of free parking (Schaumburg). We are riding the Utter Century on Sunday (6/5).

Doing a ride that is supposed to end around 6:00ish…. I will try to stop by afterwards…. Giant…. Are you doing Swedish Days???? If you are and you see this before you go, PM me…. Perhaps we can ride part of it together????

Was supposed to meet up w/a friend for other plans but may swing by early at the beach or drag him along, sounds like lots of fun and would be cool to know some chicago people.
