Did you ride today?

I did.

57 miles (OK, they were all flat miles on a five-mile loop) in 30-some degree weather to celebrate today being the conclusion of my 57th trip around the sun.

Managed ~30 miles @ 14mph  today after the freezing fog burnt off.  Dropped down out of the sun to the Wapsi valley (McCausland) into the fog again.  By the time we got back up the hill the fog was rolling back in.

Cold toes, but it sure felt good to get outside & off the rollers!

Got 95 in this weekend. 35 with a local club I ride with, (social ride) and 60 on Sunday. My training is coming along nicely, I feel really good about where I am right now, and it’s only going to get better as I go. Saturday was really nice, but Sunday had a strong 20 MPH wind with lots of gusts up to 30. Not the most enjoyable conditions, but I knew that it would make me stronger.

75 hilly, very windy miles on Saturday in Jasper,Texas’s Dam to Dam Ride! The wind has turned to pouring rain now, but tomorrow promises to be a beautiful Texas spring day and I’ll be back out on the chip seal.

Just got in from a nice little 11 mile recovery ride. Took the Fixie out for a spin, just let the legs turn the pedals over, keeping it light. I think the fact that it’s a slightly different set of muscles than the ‘bents makes it really effective for me. (Besides, sometimes it’s just fun to ride a very basic ride with NO frills) (except brakes)

Danbury. Riding was great today although a little less wind would have been perfect. 38 miles of heavy breathing and burning thighs.
