What a well run event. My hats off to the steering team and support that coordinates this event. I enjoyed the towns, the people, the food, the whole atmosphere. I had some food that you will only get on RAGBRAI. I met a few really friendly folks on the ride and I hope to hear from them via email and FB. I don’t want to wait a whole year before speaking with them again.

One of my highlights was getting to know Texas Tim from Ft. Worth. From screaming like ” some would say a girl” while getting a massage at our campsite to starting out stories with the phrase,”Down in Texas”, he made a lot of people roll with laughter because he sounded so serious about Texas.
Great week and I was amazed at how many people I met knew somebody I knew, starting with Texas Tim.

Somehow, even before this years ride I knew by your posts you would enjoy your first Ragbrai. Thanks for coming, Get, and… see you next year? Hope so!

Vacation? When? I worked my butt off, litteraly. I expected the hills and winds, but the heat and humidity just about did me in. I’m glad I did Ragbrai, prolly will never do another one. Just not my kind of riding.

Hunidity wasn’t as bad as some years, think the tent only came down wet twice this year, sometimes it’s every day. Frisay was about the only “vacation” vacation day, we only had to do about 40 miles. ( we paid for it the day before, people milage ranged from 92 to 97. I think the 97′s were the ones who miees the corner and did a couple bonus miles.

Bonus miles…………….great term. I will use that. The Little Stoker often tells a story about a ride Iowa Boy set up that had about twenty “bonus miles” attached.
