Good point there, hallyhall; I saw that too but realized he was taking about what was going down five or six years ago. Maybe they were an ethical bunch back then, so I let that one slide.

Good idea there too, Tony. I doubt that Leinie’s will do much; it’s a rolling billboard whether it’s on RAGBRAI or not. Making a mention or two to IDOT or the ISP or the Register powers-that-be might be the best way to go with this.

And if the self-appointed spokesman for Team Blonde takes that as a threat, well, consider this. Bandits are loose nails in the framework of RAGBRAI; and loose nails tend to get hammered down.

Why don’t you leave this alone pal.
There are 100′s if not 1000′s on non registered riders on the great ride.
I would say that most if not all get along. I would also say that there is enough services for all. I have not been denied any in the 20 years I have ridden. I register every year. One of our riders had an accident in my 4th year that cost $25k plus for hospital and such. Taken care of by the ticket.
I will also say that we usually have a few in our group that do not register. They get the same service as the rest of us and no one seems to care. Just as long as you are not taking away from registered riders who really cares?
Let everyone spend their money and have a good time and let this post go away.

Naw – you don’t want to do what you said – that you would pay the fee if anyone could list services you actually get. A pretty good list was made, and now you are talking about “addressing” the items. No sincerity there – just a love for stirring the pot!

I tend to agree with reddog1 (and stated as much in my first response in this thread) – non-registered riders don’t bother me – I’ve ridden with them and eaten lunch with them and had some great conversations. No problems. My primary issue with this post has to do with this specific dude who calls himself Team Blonde – who stirs up trouble because he is proud of his approach to Ragbrai and, rather than just do what he does, flaunts his pride and position by implying to all who do register that they are cattle who follow the Register Guard blindly. Trouble maker!

But – as my father always said, consider the source………

Mitchrider has it right – “can’t we all just get along?” Regrettably – some just cannot……..
