I hope I spelled the bike wheel bike term correctly….

I have seen these on the route but was wondering if any of these wild rides actually complete the event? Bonus points is they complete them in their woolly period outfits!

  • I believe the team of two of these cyclists, which have been riding for several years, are from Oklahoma. They PASSED me on Day-5 without a problem so I can safely assume they finish the ride.

  • I know several people that have rode Ordinary bikes (high wheel) the whole route. I just got my Bone Shaker this spring. It is custom made by Ridiable Bicycle replicas, http://www.hiwheel.com . I plan on bringing mine next year. But it will be to ride in the overnight towns. I’m not brave enough yet to take it out on the open road. It takes real skill to handle the downhills. Not to mention no brakes. I must admit though. Once you get one of these magnificent machines. Nostalgic Bliss is an understatement.

  • You should have taken that old rug that used to be beneath the Centurion and hung that for your background…..

And is that a silver pith helmet???
