The piece of pecan pie consumed after a spaghetti dinner in a church parking lot in Eldora, Iowa may be the best piece of pie ever. I am always looking to top it though!

Mrs. Woo baked an apple pie on Monday, in anticipation of losing electricity during the blizzard. After cleaning up the snow on Tuesday evening (and again on Wednesday, due to wind-blown drifting!), apple pie a la mode with hot cocoa hit the spot. I would have posted this on Pi Day, but I didn’t want to risk the computer getting messed up if power went out due to high winds blowing trees onto the lines.
I can’t wait for the “warmth” of Iowa! See you along the I-O-Way in July.
Years ago on the ride, I think it was either ’97 or ’98, a buddy and I came up some lines to the song “American Pie”
My, my Scott’s the pie guy.
He really like the cherry, but the rhubarb is alright.
Little ole lady’s asking which one he’ll buy.
And Scott says, “this will be the pie that I’ll buy, this will be the pie that I’ll buy”.
Speaking of PI DAY ….
When the Colorado Rockies came out on 3/14 for a spring training baseball game and lined up along the foul line for introductions and the National Anthem, they absolutely, completely, and indisputably won “Pi Day”:

The Rockies not only won Pi Day, they knocked it out of the park! They really stole the show. To line up players to show Pi to the eighth decimal place is truly a grand slam. Ok, the helmet it; enough with the puns. I’m going to my room now.

Rode in our local PI day ride this evening, followed by pie!
Happy #PiDay to all mathies (and wannabes) out there. This store really got into the spirit.
[Hope my attempt to insert an image works]

Sorry, late on the post. Best pie ever was Blurbarb (blueberry/rhubarb), at the pie shop in Whalan on the Root River Trail.
