I just registered–and the act brought joy to a foggy San Francisco morning. Does this mean that all the miles I ride from here on out counts toward my Ragbrai training mileage?

Entered for the first time solo, first time not part of a group. Does anyone know how many didn’t make the lottery last year?

I’ve only ridden Ragbrai twice so I’m no expert, but it seems to me that nearly everyone makes the lottery. In addition, I do know that there seem to be many registration slots up for sale in the early summer as people realize that can’t make the ride. I’d love to hear other thoughts on this.

I just finished registering for my first RAGBRAI, and could not be more jazzed. I’ve wanted to make the trip for more than 15 years, since a former co-worker first told me about it, but life and work (and laziness) always got in the way.
But now I’m registered, I bought a used roller trainer (with forkstand) last month, and I’ve got a line on a great little dome tent and a shipping case for my trusty steed. Training has commenced. Just 247 more days until the fun begins, and I cannot wait!
