Over 150 community leaders from the RAGBRAI XXXVIII Overnight Town’s local organizing committees gathered in Des Moines for an all-day workshop to prepare them for this summer's event.

The Route Inspection Ride team arrived in Council Bluffs this afternoon and checked out the impressive Bob Kerrey Pedestrian bridge that crosses the Missouri River connecting Council Bluffs, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska.
With just 50 days to go until RAGBRAI, the eight RAGBRAI Overnight Host Town Committees came to Des Moines for a planning workshop. Close to 50 leaders from Council Bluffs, Red Oak, Greenfield, Indianola, Chariton, Ottumwa, Mount Pleasant and Burlington shared their experiences and networked with their fellow host committees.
RAGBRAI Director TJ Juskiewicz answered questions from riders on Feb. 2, a few days after the 2009 RAGBRAI overnight towns were announced.
