Aplington-Parkersburg High School may be known for its football program, but its musicians were the stars during RAGBRAI’s visit today. Ten members of the A-P Junk Percussion Ensemble pounded away in a parking lot along the route.
The American flags that lined Parkersburg’s Main Street hung limp this morning, but a reminder of a much windier day stood in the middle of the main intersection: a 15-foot tornado-shaped sculpture made from bikes.
