The RAGBRAI Route Announcement Party has set a new record for fundraising with $77,000 of funding generated for the Iowa Bicycle Coalition, a non profit bicycle advocacy organization. Over 900 people attended the party that annually kicks off RAGBRAI with an announcement of the overnight host communities.

The 2012 event promises to be better than ever before with more vendor exhibits, free advocacy workshops, and new trail building sessions. The most noticeable change is the venue. The Iowa Bicycle Summit & Expo is moving upstairs at the Iowa Events Center to the newly remodeled Veterans Auditorium.
