Charles Gabus Memorial Ride
- 23 June, 2009
The Northwest Rotary Club in Des Moines is sponsoring a charity bicycle ride commemorating the life of Charles Gabus on Sunday, July 5.
Rides of 5, 18, 30, and 60 miles are among the day’s activities. Rides begin at Walker Johnston Park in Urbandale. All proceeds of this ride will benefit three charities: The Des Moines Bicycle Collective, Suburban Trails and Childhood Literacy. More details can be found at http://cgm-br.com/
The Northwest Rotary Club was honored to have Charles Gabus as a member for over 20 years and he also served as President in 1978. His dedication and contributions to Rotary and other community service organizations will be remembered for years to come.
So if you are looking for a ride to do to help you finishing up your preparation for RAGBRAI, and do some good for the community at the same time, consider this ride.
