Big Grove Brewery has been the Official Beer Partner of RAGBRAI since 2019! With RAGBRAI just around the corner, we thought we would take you on a journey of beers thorough the years.
The Beginning
It all began with Tailwind Golden Ale, which made its debut for RAGBRAI XLVII in 2019. This light, refreshing, golden ale paired perfectly with a day on the bicycle.
Partnership Through the Pandemic
RAGBRAI XLVIII was postponed due to the pandemic. Big Grove continued to produce Tailwind, with an iconic nod toward the High Trestle Trail in Madrid.
Back in Business!
In 2021, RAGBRAI and Big Grove’s Tailwind were back, better than ever! This year solidified the traditional can design, complete with logo, Overnight Towns, and mileage.
This is the 2022 edition of Tailwind!
Who’s Got the Golden Ticket?
In celebration of RAGBRAI L (50), we created the Golden Can Giveaway. Riders who found a golden Easy Eddy won a collectible Golden Jersey from Primal Wear.
We love the bold, bright can design for 2024. The theme for this year was “home sweet home.”
Mixing Things Up
In 2025, we updated the RAGBRAI x Big Grove beer to be even tastier than ever. No longer called Tailwind, The Official Beer of RAGBRAI remains a rider favorite.
