Coming Soon - New Online RAGBRAI Registration System

To meet higher security demands brought about because of internet fraud, we found it necessary to upgrade our online registration system. We took this opportunity to incorporate some changes that our riders have been asking for like group members having the ability to pay online, single sign-on for the RAGBRAI Forums and Registration, and the ability to join a group even after registering as an individual rider.

These changes will go into effect with the opening of registration this weekend for 2016 RAGBRAI XLIV. Since you will now have single sign-on for the RAGBRAI Forums and Registration, you must have a RAGBRAI.com user account. If you haven’t already, you may create a RAGBRAI.com user account prior to registration.

Individual Registrations

• The Username and Password for the old registration system will no longer be used to register for RAGBRAI. The user account for ride registration will be the same user account for accessing the RAGBRAI Forums and the Online RAGBRAI Shop. If you haven’t already, you will be asked to create a user account for RAGBRAI.com prior to registering for RAGBRAI.
• A ride participant can join a group at the time of registration, or if already registered, by selecting My RAGBRAI/Join A Group. You will be able to join a non-closed group, even if you’ve already registered and paid as an individual rider.
• Registration deadline for weeklong wristbands is still April 1. Any registrations that have been finalized (waiver completed and payment processed) before the April 1 deadline cannot be altered after that date (changes in address, ride registration, or merchandise ordered).
• Navigation within the registration website will be done primarily through the My RAGBRAI dropdown menu in the upper right corner of RAGBRAI.com.
• To check your registration status, go to My RAGBRAI drop down and select My Profile.
• You have the ability to send messages and invites to other users in the system.
• If payment is made via a check, it must be received in the RAGBRAI home office before the registration is complete.

Group Registrations

• The Username and Password for the old registration system will no longer be used to register for RAGBRAI. The user account for ride registration will be the same user account for accessing the RAGBRAI Forums and the Online RAGBRAI Shop. If you haven’t already, you will be asked to create a user account for RAGBRAI.com prior to registering for RAGBRAI.
• No group member registration information will transfer from the old registration system to the new registration system. Group members will need to rejoin their group under the new registration system. Group contacts will have access to their group summary under the old system up until Friday, November 13, 2015. After that date there will not be any access to the old registration system. Click here to access the old registration system and print a group summary.
• At the time a group is created, the group contact has the option to create the group as a Hidden group. Members can join a Hidden group through invitation only from the group contact. A Hidden group will not show in the search results when looking for a group to join. If a group is created as a Public group, anyone can join that group.
• Group members can make payment directly to RAGBRAI rather than making payment to the group contact.
• If a group contact wants to set up the group to pay as a group (with payment made to the group contact), the group contact should contact RAGBRAI at info@ragbrai.com.
• A Group Contact will manage their group through the My RAGBRAI/My Group option in the drop down menu in the upper right corner of RAGBRAI.com.
• If a group member pays by a check instead of by credit card online, the check must be received in the RAGBRAI home office before the group can be closed.
• All group member registration payments must be completed before a group can be closed.
• All minor waivers must be received in the RAGBRAI home office before a group can be closed.
• At the time a group is closed, the group contact will submit payment for his/her ride registration (if applicable), and any vehicle passes ordered through registration.
• A group contact can submit payment via check or credit card. If payment is by check, the check must be received in the RAGBRAI home office before the group will be finalized.
• A group contact cannot submit payment for another group member’s registration, unless it is a group pay group and all group member’s payments are done through the group contact.
• A group must have at least three members in order to be eligible to purchase a vehicle pass. The Group Contact registration and any minor registrations count toward the three registration minimum.

Minor Registrations

• Minor registrations will be set up under a parent or guardian user account. A minor will not need to create their own user account.
• Form a group consisting of minor and parent/guardian registrations so all participant packets get mailed out together.
• You can have multiple minor registrations set up under a parent or guardian user account.
• The parent or guardian does not need to register for the ride in order to register a minor for the ride.
• A minor can create their own user account if needed.
• A minor waiver must be received in the RAGBRAI home office before that registration is complete. If the minor is a member of a group, the waiver must be received before the group can be closed.
