From Chicago IL, Am signed up, told friends at LBS and now have a group to ride with, all first timers. Thanks RAGBRAI, your reputation attracts.

I was a first timer last year. Some takeaways:
Why in the world did I wait SO long to do this? (Iowa native, age 69, now living in Florida).
So glad I followed the training schedule on the website. Now, if only I could find a hill down here.
I hate wind.
Having trained, prepared my bike and joined a great group (Henry County High Wheelers) I met the challenge. But that was not the best part – it was the people you meet and ride with all week long.
Back to training for 2019!

Where exactly in Council Bluffs does the ride start?
