Insurance can be a problem, but the owner of the RV may have insurance that will cover or there are also several companies that do rental insurance separately for RV owners who rent which is what we did last year.
Your insurance company may also provide a rider? .. but that is a maybe.
The big RV renters are pricey and actually a real pain to deal with. Find a owner thru Craigs List or go to an RV storage park.. as they may be of help.
Break downs are covered thru the renter and they usually have a # to call if you have any problems. Also doesn’t hurt to have AAA just in case.
