You could take a right on the old route where it meets up with the reroute. Go into the upper ledges and get to a couple of overlooks. Butvthe cpgrounds are closed for an upgrade and part of the canyon road collapsed/ slid last year. Not sure that’s been repaired yet. The army corps of engineers controlled the saylorville lake levels. If they say they are not going to let it down any faster it will be up for quite awhile. More rain won’t help. Let’s just hope ames camp sites stay out of the water. Been under once this summer. And low spots (old oxbows or channels) in brookside have filled up a couple of other times.
