It seems to me that you are not on the right forum for your questions. While it it true that Ragbrai is a cycling and camping event, I doubt that there are any others here who would use a truck-bed tent. Campgrounds are separate for tents or RVs. I think the truck-bed tent would be out of place at either. That kind of rig sounds great for fishing. Perhaps a fishing forum would give you more insights. Luck!
