my wife and I rode 4 full Ragbrai weeks and several two – three days when in our area on a road tandem. It was a bueaty, smooth as a sled on ice. We packed ice, water, beer and small food items, nuts, energy bars etc. We had rain gear and tools, spare tubes and such. We always had a support driver to meet in the overnights, but we set up and tore down our own. I want to learn the rest. Like cooking, light weight gear. My Sweetie no longer rides, and we sold the tandem. I am gaining ground by the week, lot to learn. I am not going to beat myself up for finding food and entertainment in the evening on Ragbrai. Not at first, ease into things. OH ……. I almost forgot. We had a large round tube stereo on the back rack with Kenwood boat speakers, and we blasted that muther …… Bandits loud music, Bandits loud music, Bandits loud music!
