Sandaltan:
Surfing the internet I have learned that under USA Triathlon classification rules a male over 200 pounds is a Clydesdale and a female over 150 pounds is an Athena.Mountain bike races have several different weight classes for those over 200 pounds.Lots of Clydesdales and Athenas on RAGBRAI althugh, not as many as I see at the Iowa State Fair.Just a guess on my part but in the NFL anybody under 200 pounds is probably called “the kicker”.
RIDE RIGHT
That Athena classification always rubs me the wrong way. I know “elite” runners weigh less, but if you are going to have a classification for heavier runners, at least make it more true to life. Maybe it’s just because I’m a 5′ 10″, muscular woman of good old Swedish ancestry and would look anorexic at 150 lbs! Nothing wrong with a few curves here and there!!
