We are thinking of doing lunches at the mid-town point by using our driver in the support vehicle (driver changes out daily) to purchase food locally to make sandwiches. We can purchase in the grocery stores most of what we need with the occasional pork chop from a vendor if needed. Since we will have a powered cooler in the car, we will also purchase ice for water bottles during the day and keeping said food cold. Of course, we only get two shots at the ice – morning and mid-day! We’re going to try to be careful with how much we spend on “unnecessary” food. I’m hoping we can keep it lower than $30 per day per person.
