Make a “pity stop” once a day. That’s a stop at some kiddie stand that is set up at yhr totally wrong place because that is where they live. It might be halfway up a hill, at the bottom, or in town s couple blocks away from the action where everyone else is.

Yeah, good one jws! Or they will be like a block or two short of your overnight campsite. I always stop at those and give them a little extra. The kids are thrilled with getting $2 for a 50 cent lemonade.
