2020 RAGBRAI Roadshow

Ride one, ride all! Saturdays this fall (and one Thursday!) the RAGBRAI mini merchandise trailer is popping up along your favorite Iowa trails! Join us for giveaways, rides, fun, and in most cases beer and food! We can’t wait to see you.
Join us on the trails. Dieter Drake, RAGBRAI ride director, and other RAGBRAI team members will ride the trails during each pop-up event. We will publish our routes on the Wednesday before each event here and on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.

Looks like fun. One in western Iowa, two near Cedar Rapids, the rest near Des Moines. I suppose it was too much to hope there would be one in the NE Illinois part of Iowa? Yeah, I know that would be highly unusual but it would attract some people. Perhaps too many in fact.

I have a question. From what I hear the windstorm that woke everyone up in the Chicago area a couple of weeks ago really, really pummeled the Cedar Rapids area. Will it be possible to hold an event there in September? I am sure they could use the tourist dollars if it is and I will have to think about it but perhaps Cedar Rapids is close enough to the NE Illinois part of Iowa to make it feasible to attend.

I agree with Ken. Considering the number of riders that come from Illinois every year, a ride in the Dubuque, Davenport, or Muscatine area could get a bump from us. Just a thought.

A RAGBRAI appearance on a bike trail west of Chicago would be great fun. Would also draw people from WI/IN/MI.

Ha! The Old Plank Trail connects Indiana to Iowa (it’s part of the trail that goes across the nation, might be called the All American trail, I am not sure) and goes within a quarter mile of my house. That would be fun. The I&M Canal trail might be more suitable. It runs along side 96 miles of a canal that connects the Great Lakes to the Mississippi River.
