I would like to join a Austin Texas team for 2019.
A friend and I are from Houston and will be joining the Siouxland Cyclists team. We are yet undecided as far as how to get to/from ride start/finish.
Yep, a South Texas team will be nice. I am from San Antonio
I’m traveling up from and back to DFW, and I’m not sure how I’m working it this year. I’m not looking for a team for the actual ride, but would be interested in any discussions on travel up and back.
We are traveling from East Texas and will be driving to Keokuk (we have our hotel for Friday night booked), signed up with Pork Belly as our outfitter and will ride the bus from Keokuk to Council Bluffs. Pork Belly has booked us hotels for each night. We’ll park are car in Keokuk so it’ll be there for our drive home. Just thought I’d let you know how we’ve worked it in the past and it seems to work fine for us. With so many riders we’ve never hooked up with a team because we would just lose them along the way.
Not looking for a team but….caravanning?
I’ll be leaving from the Houston area the Thursday morning before RAGBRAI. The plan is to spend one night in Missouri (I have no one to share the driving with), arrive in Keokuk Friday morning, and take PBV’s East/West shuttle to Council Bluff Friday afternoon. This give me two nights of camping in CB to check out the town, buy last minute necessities, etc. I also get a better choice of where to set up my tent. My return plans are still up in the air.
If caravanning to Keokuk sounds like something anyone would be interested in, let me know.
Just thought I’d put it out there.
6 of us flying from Houston to Omaha. Using bike flights to transport our bikes.

I’d be interested in carpooling, sharing expenses.
I’ve yet to firm up my travel, driving or flight but it would be cool to meet up with some Houstonites while there.
