Any info on the music/bands in the overnight towns?
Hairball is booked for Jefferson (Monday night).
Torrent brewing in Ames is trying to get the parking lot forthe day and have bands. Ames main street is also trying to get it shut down for the day. Torrent is 2 blocks off main. A little over 2 easy miles from the stadium. If thats where camping ends up. Havent really heard about that part yet.
Turbonegro, unfortunately, will not be at RAGBRAI this year.
Maddie Poppe from Clarksville, Iowa ( 2018 contestant on American Idol ) has posted she will be singing at Rabrai again. She has been a great performer the past 3 years. No specifics on time / place yet.
Chicago Spazmatics at Ames.
Placid Quake…or at least some surviving members…may be playing in Onawa. Probably out of some guy’s garage. Law suits, apparently, prevent them from playing at the fairgrounds again.
Rumor is bands at each end of Main street downtown Ames.
In addition to Onawa two other towns have made official announcements. The Johnny Holm Band will be playing in Denison and The Pork Tornadoes will be playing in Sigourney. Both are great RAGBRAI bands.
