I don’t ride, but I live in Glenwood. Any questions?
We will be getting in pretty early on Saturday – where is the best place to hang out that afternoon? I am thinking bowling alley or dive bar.
I’ll be riding my bike in on Saturday. Will there be showers available in the high school? or anywhere else for that matter.
I need to ride to Imogene to camp on Saturday night – what is the best route from Glenwood? It doesn’t need to stick to the RAGBRAI route for the next day, it’s most important that it is best mix of safe, good shoulder, no gravel, less miles. Looks like it’s about 30 miles but I see 3 possible routes on mapquest. I’m overnighting there and picking up when RAGBRAI comes through the next day. Thanks for the local tip!
I’m coming in on Saturday with a charter group, and have some family coming over from Omaha to spend the afternoon. We need a convenient place to meet up in Glenwood in the mid-afternoon; somewhere easy for them to drive in and park, yet close to the festivities. Any suggestions?
Sandy must have forgotten that she asked for questions….
Yes, there will be showers available at the High School. It will cost you 3$.
There is a new bar called the “Quart House Lounge” probably will be the hot spot. It’s on the west side of the courthouse.
One more quick question, how busy is Hwy 34 east of Glenwood? also, is there a paved shoulder at all? We will be biking into town from that direction on Saturday. Looks like there are limited options…
Thanks in advance!
Are you tenting or are you staying with someone?
