According to my calendar, Cedar Rapids to Anamosa is day 6 on Friday, and Friday is always a good day to drink beer. I am a first time rider, but from what I have read so far, the drinking starts on day 0, or day -1, whenever you arrive in Iowa. And serious beer drinking starts as soon as the beer hits your lips !!

Every day is Beer Jersey day for me – Molson (2), Summit, Tyranena, Moose Drool, Falstaff, Schaefer, New Glarus, Potosi, and my favorite, Terrapin Rye Pale Ale.

I just received a Leinenkugel jersey from a buddy who works for the parent company. It’s very cool looking, and not sure I will be able to hold off until Day 7.

Not from Wisconsin, but north central Illinois, right next to I-80. Have done a lot of biking in Wisconsin, tho, on the rail trails and on the road. A group from my club did a 7 day brew pub tour last year, starting in Middleton and doing a figure 8 through Reedsburg, Potosi, Mineral Point, Mt. Horeb, Verona/Fitchburg, Lake Mills (Tyranena), Delafield, and Whitewater. Had a blast.

John, good call! My Shiner jersey will make an appearance! Are you a Texan? For the Wisconsinites, I will also have my Great Dane jersey.

Are there more brands of beer than people? Well, lets wade into the wilderness and meet them all!

Day 7 I wear the RAGBRAI jersey for the year. It helps to identify the year of the ride when looking at the pictures years later of the front tire dip. I have a couple beer jerseys plus a Templeton Rye jersey. I will be wearing beer jerseys except for day 7.

Ok- It is official – unofficially Day 6 – Beer Jersey Day! You can drink Beer wear a Beer Jersey…But as the commercial says, Please drink responsible.

I’ll probably have one or two jerseys for Oregon beers I can’t get in Iowa to wear that day.

I’m still trying to figure out what day to wear my POW/MIA jersey. Does anyone know which host city has the largest veterans memorial?
I know Marshalltown has the Veterans Home.

I should have an Oregon beer jersey for the day.
