I’m getting a road bike and was hoping to get a Mirrorcle mirror for it as I love the one on my mt. bike. But it says Mirracle mirrors won’t fit STI levers after 2009?!?

There are many good mirror options, including the one that many of us use!!

I have to second Mich’s recommendation for that eye glass mounted mirror. The mirror is really of great quality and I haven’t found a better one. It’s all I use.
I agree. Been using that mirror for years. Much better than the plastic ones.
huh, I’ll be darned, the reviews at Amazon and REI are great for this funky thing. Guess I’ll check out my local REI. I rode my first RAGBRAI (just a day) 5 years ago on my old road bike that had a mirror I used to ignore, but now I can’t imagine riding a bike w/o some kind of rear view. Thanks for the suggestion
yep, it takes a little getting used to, but once you do it becomes very natural. And while it looks geeky off the bike, it is nice when checking out the ‘view’ behind you, if you know what I mean.

I put the Mirrocle mountain bike mirror on the end of my handle bars because that is what I was used to and didn’t think I wanted to go the helmet mirror route. I probably look like a dork , but I got used to that when I was 12 and my mom made me ride my bike with a big orange flag on my banana seat Huffy.
Geeky???? Hey, I resemble that comment!!!!
:-o
There’s no other way to go other than ‘Take A Look’ for various reasons but the best one is if your mirror is on your head you can see a lot more than if it’s on the bike. Rotating your head allows you to see pretty much everything behind you. That’s damn near impossible with a bike mounted mirror.
And the good folks at ‘Take A Look’ will replace mirrors that are damaged (for whatever reason) for a couple of bucks if you send in the old mirror along with that $2.
I may try that, it looks like it ought to work, but who knows. Heck, maybe I’ll go with both!
Take a Look mirrors are the standard for roadies. They clip onto your glasses. Full field of view. With little to no shake. Most places sell it for $15.
I tried them and never saw the value. Just look or listen – “On your left”.
