I have NOT used them myself but have always heard very good things about them. I would think you will get some first hand feedback after the holidays. Welcome.

I have used them for the last 6 years and have been very happy with them. I have used other charters before them but cant see myself ever changing again.

I thought they were great. The staff is very friendly, they had great showers and towel service, and some food in the camp. They are as advertised and a little more. They also have a great bicycle mechanic, who does some maintenance if needed on a tip basis.

Brancel is a class act with a staff that goes out of their way to provide top of the line service. Not surprisingly, every year you see most of the same staff and riders which gives a bit of a family feeling. Unfortunately, some of my friends have had significant family events occur during the ride and Bob Brancel has always responded as necessary to assist the rider any way he can. Many charters provide similar services but without the personal touch. Just my opinion.

I can’t say enough good things about Brancel. I have used them twice and they went above and beyond my expectations. They will do everything possible to make your ride a success. Highly recommended!

We’ve used Brancel four times and have always been very satisfied. Their pricing is fair and features other “a la cart” services for anything you need. Transportation to the start town has always been well planned. They take care in finding great camp sites in overnight towns. A pleasant atmosphere is maintained in camp and there are extras like root beer float night and a performance by the band “Swing Crew” on the last night. Nice family owned company.

I have used them six of the ten times I have done Ragbrai. Without a doubt they are the best way to do Ragbrai in my opinion. The entire crew is there for you and will take great care of you. They understand the challenges of Ragbrai and make certain they provide you with things like charging stations, great showers, good camping locations, ease of getting your baggage everyday, wide selections of beverages and snacks, directions and maps of the towns and anything else you need. You can’t go wrong with Brancel.

Pork Belly probably has more bells and whistles, but they’ve gotten too big. PB is often in open fields to support their size. Brancel provides the service promised! That can’t be said for all charters! I’ve done RAGBRAI 13 times. Brancel is in second place in my book! PBV is my favorite charter!!! Not sure I can make it back this year, due to healthy challenges!
