rbskiir, you provided great service for a terrific price when I shipped my bike with you in 2011, even though I had to schlep it over to SLO and back to be picked up and dropped off. Whether I use you again this year is not solid yet as summer plans are still being made. I also now have a long recumbent. Still for all Californians heading to Iowa in July I highly recommend this service, especially with the ability to ship a duffel too.

Hi JoAnn, sorry I missed your post. I’m in Santa Clara, CA. You’re way too far south for me to help you. I may know someone in Upland who will haul bikes, but there may be a stretch too. I can answer questions though. I can also make a recommendation for a good charter. Let me know, I’ll be watching closer now.

Not sure if my SLO friend is going this year, she’s crossing north across Canada this year. I’ll be checking with her. If she doesn’t go we’ll have to work on a solution to getting your bike. Great! I am over in Porterville about 22 miles east of Highway 99 southeast of Visalia/Tulare (between Fresno and Bakersfield). So I can assume that I am a bit out of your way. However, as I am not teaching this summer I could easily come up to Santa Clara and drop the bike off with you at a place and time convenient to you. And we could meet somewhere along interstate 5 or in So Cal or Nor Cal or so on your way back as I am flying back on Monday, the 28th
This time I have a long recumbent (which you can get a sense of from my avatar) and I would like to ship it without breaking it down. Would that be possible? It does sit on a solid double kickstand.
I’m already at one third of my van resereved. Things will pick up real fast as soon as the lottery results come out. Don’t wait too long to make your plans.
FYI: March 19, my van is just about half way full with reservations.
