Cell Phone Charging

Are there places to charge cell phones in the campground?  What do you recommend to charge  phones, GPS, ipods, etc.?

Gypsy:  That’s the thread we’re missing this year!!!!!  I couldn’t remember.

There is way too much 3600rpm noise in camp, as well as the nasty fumes.

I guess it joins in with the d@nmed airpump noise as well.

Gypsy – I’m sure some spots are noisy – but I found it pretty easy to spot the rigs and camp outside of any noise pollution they might incur.
Everywhere I’ve camped has been mainly tents.
You should be OK

That’s the problem with being on the forum multiple years – I’m feeling your pain GiantRon
We could counteract it with a new thread that has never been mentioned before – still within Ragbrai, of course
Let me know if you have any ideas!!

Why Yes!
Due to my overwhelming love of beer and beer hooligans – I try and camp as close as possible to Beer Tents
How did you guess?

Okay. I get it. There IS a lot of noise, and it has been discussed (complained about) before on this forum. I’ll arrive in Glenwood forewarned. (Too bad there’s no search function on this forum so that newbies like me could get a sense for the tired old topics.)

Best,

Kevin et al – I don’t agree that all the campgrounds are all noisy, all of the time.
It’s not that tough to find quiet, for the most part.

Except for that snoring guy!

Good to know that there will be corners of the campgrounds without generators, etc. Or, perhaps I’ll just adopt a strategy of not sleeping for the entire week. I’d hate to miss out on any of the fun!

Best,
