The Great Iowa Fall Ride registration is open!

Cold weather riding

Need to start this topic up again, because the temperatures aren’t getting warmer, and I’m sure I’m not the only one looking for new ways to stay warm while riding this winter.

Tuesday, 1:40 pm  ( -5 degrees F ) – roads 80-100% covered with snow with 4 inches of snow last night with another 4-5 expected tonight.  Increasing winds 30-40 mph and drifting occurring overnight.  visibility at times will range from 10-20 feet.

i’ll wait and ride another day.

Wow, I was starting to be really impressed until that last sentence!

3/25 11:20 a.m.
Ridgeland, MS. sunny current 57 F, high of 81 F
11 mph winds SSE
GREAT day for ride!

But we really pay for it in the summer when the humidity is so high you swim through the air.

I’m a weather wimp!  I put my bike back on the trainer several days ago.  Had to have a moment of silence as I wheeled it back into the house.  Very depressing!
