Concert VIP Tickets

If Jerry Garcia or Jimi Hendrix deigns to re-visit the terrestrial plane, or if Keith Richards offers to personally re-true my wheels, then yes I’ll gladly put up $200 for the experience. Foghat? Not so much.

They’re going to offer that for every night and the fact that Foghat is the first band announced is an indication that they probably have a killer line-up for the week. The Des Moines headliner is going to be a BIG name.

Getting money hungry. Not what RAGBRAI is about.

Newb question here, does my registration include general admission tickets to the concerts? Apologies if that was explained somewhere.

The RAGBRAI L Concert Series features some of the top national, regional, and local bands to ever take the stage. This year’s line-up celebrates the rides golden anniversary with nostalgia bands from the past five decades. All concerts are free and open to the public.

I don’t know about this year’s ride attracting “top bands”, that’s up for debate. I think people would like to know what “VIP” seating at the concert physically means. Is this seating in a trailer, a tent or a roped off area? Is the toilet a dedicated KYBO or something more elaborate? How does this air conditioning work? Is there wait service for drinks, a dedicated bar or do you have to stand in line? A $200 fee per concert is a bit hefty, I’d want to know what sort of facilities to expect.

I don’t feel like at my age I’m going to have enough energy for Molly Hatchet. I’ll be sleeping.

While thinking about access, on RAG ’21 an overnight town had limited amphitheater seating to which access was granted to only those wearing wristbands.

So all those folks who volunteer to set up, and clean up, the overnight town don’t get to groove to Hairball?
