Doctor's advice (esp. for older folks) . . .

If you’re prone to (ahem . . .) hemorrhoids from riding (as I am), my doctor recently offered me this advice. Take one baby (low-dose) aspirin per day (starting today) on the ride to prevent clotting. And when riding, every 15 minutes lift your bottom up off your saddle FOR AT LEAST ONE MINUTE to restore circulation. This, he said, is good for the prostate as well. Just passing this along for whatever it’s worth. Have a good ride!
