Anyone hear about what’s up with these rides? Did TJ’s organization own them or the DMR? Will they continue?
Registration deadline extended to April 15 for weeklong rider, weeklong non-rider, and vehicles passes!

Fear not, those three rides will continue, they are not owned by Gannett. Bacoon had some 3,000 or so paid riders last year and was again successful. The newspaper will continue to promote the three rides and I believe the rides will continue to advertise themselves as “RAGBRAI Training Rides”. What may change for 2021 is the January route announcement party, it is expensive but is it necessary? The Little Stoker thinks RAGBRAI as sponsored by the newspaper will end at the the 50th ride, a friend suggested that the ride would continue as a non-profit foundation dedicated to cycling in Iowa.

Just line the January Bike Expo and Route Announcement Party, Pigtails, Bacoon, and Big Rove rides are owned and operated by the Iowa Bicycle Coalition.
Most riders do not know this because these events have historically had a big name partner join the Iowa Bicycle Coalition on these events.

WOW, We are learning all kinds of (useless) information.
