Fitness Lynn was an exhibitionist who disappeared from RAGBRAI 16 years ago.

That might be the most accurate description of her I’ve seen. We’ve joked for years that there’s one of everything and everyone on this ride, and, well, she kinda proved that point.

Having said that, I don’t think I’ve ever observed a nudist on the ride. Ouch.

Fitness Lynn was a young woman from central Illinois who was devotee of health and fitness. She rode with her husband who also did naked beer (really water) slides. They had some kids who grew and then she quit. A very nice woman who added much to earlier rag raids.

I had forgotten about her until reading this. I easily found webpage http://www.fitnesslynn.com and it includes a great account of Ragbrai 2003. She has posted her daily journal and photos along the ride. http://fitnesslynn.com/rag03arc.htm

I dunno, this IS the 21st century after all. I think it is disrespectful to RAGBRAI women to somehow yearn for them to prance around in bikinis, loincloths, fishnets and thongs.

I didn’t take the original poster’s comment to include all women on RAGBRAI; I do think he/she meant that particular woman.

But, to be fair, let’s all mentally picture the Men of RAGBRAI in Speedo bathing suits, kilts, and skinsuits. :) I know, I’m awful.

‘Cause RAGBRAI don’t care. That’s what makes it great. It’s what you want it to be.

Or is it disrespectful to Ragbrai women, to not respect their Freedom to wear what they want? I ride Ragbrai with my Aunt, 2 Sisters, Wife, Daughter and more female friends. They’d rather not be judged by the “morally superior” crowd. Please wear what you want, and let others wear what they want.

klkoopman (not Chris) wasn’t saying anything about what women choose to wear. He said he though it was disrespectful for “others” (presumably us men) to “yearn” for them to wear skimpy outfits.
