I found GARMIN routes for the ride days titled such as “DAY 6 – RAGBRAI XLIX”. Some of these routes do not mach the RAGBRAI website routes. I’m wondering if these routes were posted by individuals or by the ride organizers? Will RAGBRAI be creating official GARMIN routes. If these routes I’m seeing are official something needs to be corrected somewhere.

You can download the official GPX files through the RAGBRAI app. I have not seen them on the website yet, but they are in the app.
GPS routes are available on ridewithgps.com. Mark47n is the creator and those files are linked to ragbrai.com. There is also a source NCBC of 2022 RAGBRAI files but I have no idea who that is. For now, I’d trust the files with Mark47n as the creator. However, nothing is finalized until after the route survey which is happening this week.
The files seem to work on my Garmin.
They are also on the app as Jonathan mentioned.
I was on Strava this morning, and noticed people had uploaded the first day of the route survey.
Strava allows users to upload others rides so you could do that as well. I’m sure there wouldn’t be a huge variation from the survey route inspection to the real thing.
This is Mark47n. I made the routes on Ride With GPS, and have updated them, by carefully examining the images posted by RAGBRAI. I updated them just the other day to include the camping locations being used by Brancel. I’m not associated with RAGBRAI, however. I will continue to update them as I’m able and new information is available until I ride it in 37 days.
I do want to thank you, Trek2300, for the faith in my anal retentive attention to detail that drives my wife nuts when I’m planning trips, etc. Oddly she doesn’t complain during the execution of those trips…unless I massively screw it up. Then I hear about it for years, though that hasn’t happened for awhile.
