Not looking for advice. List is to help people think about what to pack
My advice to anyone needing help is too ignore half the stuff on this list or to ignore this post ckmpletely.
Well, you asked for thoughts. But you didn’t really want them? My thoughts: you bring way more than I ever have in my 18 RAGBRAI’s.
If you really think you need to take all that stuff, don’t forget your meds. Or maybe you are already off them. I also go self supported. My bike, plus gear weighs about 31 lbs. Guessing you are at about 80 lbs.
Your list will confuse the new riders on what’s really necessary and practical.
What’s not practical or necessary on this list? If beginners get confused, oh well!
Susan, the bike boom box is coming! It’s awesome!
jpclark7,
Spoken in the true spirit of Ragbrai — NOT!
As Daddy Woo once said, “Do not feed the trolls!”
See you along the I-O-Way next year.
Nope, not trolling
A laptop and a checkbook are completely unnecessary on RAGBRAI, to name two.
Stop feeding the trolls and they will slowly disappear….:)
I don’t even own half of that stuff at home.
Let me see; posting an outlandish list, asking for thoughts about it, then denying asking for advice, claiming the list is to help riders, then not caring if it confuses beginners. Just trying to get a rise out of others. Sounds like a troll to me!
I asked for thoughts, not advice! LOL!
My thoughts – you carry way to much stuff for a supported ride. But it’s RAGBRAI so do whatever works for you.
