Just wondering how many will end their ride in Burlington and skip day 7?
Not me. I plan to go all of the way to Keokuk. I can’t imagine missing a single day of Ragbrai.
I don’t understand it either. Why end the fun early? I’d go for an eighth day if there were the option.
Yeah, you still get bragging rights for riding across the state, but not for the distance. Besides, my car will be in Keokuk.
I may. Most of the vendors pull out that last day anyways, so i bet more will this year. It’s also back tracking.
I’m looking forward to starting a day with the Sun at my back instead of in my face.
Heard some planning on partying it up Friday night and sleeping in Saturday instead of rushing around to get to the last town to pack up and head home the same day.
For me, RAGBRAI is a 7 day ride. I will ride all 7 days.
It’s unfortunate that the last day of RAGBRAI is so different from the first six days of the ride. After looking forward to the ride so much every year, I’ve never been able to understand the desire to rush to the end. I like to savor the last day as much as the first day.
I’ll be riding all 7 days. The final day will be a great ride!
I get why most want to ride all 7 days. But the crowding to get out of town on the last day I can see why a few want to avoid that too. That final stretch along the river though looks very scenic.

We will be stopping in Burlington. Part of our team is running the BIX 7 on Saturday.
22 year veteran say’s “take it all in folks” It’s been 27 years getting back to Keokuk. Only the 2nd time ever. The big groups push the riders to finish by times as early as noon the last day. Find or form your own small group and take turns with the SAG. Safe travels all….
I just would not feel right wearing the Ragbrai jersey if I flaked on the last day.
It’s my home town. I can’t wait to ride the bluff to a beautiful park! Take your time and have fun.
