Did you get a spot reserved? I followed the websites instructions but only got to a vanilla “donate” page and it mentioned nothing about RAGBRAI parking or which group’s (PBV in my case) parking area to reserve a spot in.
Below the line are the instructions I saw after following the links to long term parking. I followed the link to donate although lots of us don;t have PayPal accounts. Nothing about paying for parking on the “donate” page.

Long Term Parking
We have secured several locations in Lansing and Waukon to accommodate the anticipated need. Long term parking locations will open on Friday, July 21. The Lansing locations will be reserved first-come-first-served with overflow in the Waukon locations. Cost for Long Term Parking is $50 per standard car, $75 for truck and trailer or bus. You will be asked to sign a waiver upon arrival. Longer term parking will be negotiated on a case by case basis. To reserve your long term parking go to Main Street Lansing click on the PayPal Donate button. Use the Additional Information space with your vehicle description (bus, truck, car, van, etc.), club name or individual name, other contact information and arrival date. You will receive a confirmation of your request and payment.
I sent my payment via paypal with information in the note about being long term parking. About a week later I got an email with confirmation that I had a long term parking space reserved.
I took a quick look this morning and didn’t see the Additional Information space.
I did paypal and once you have signed to paypal there is a line that say “+ Add special instructions to the seller:”. That is were I put the info they are requesting. Use the Additional Information space with your vehicle description (bus, truck, car, van, etc.), club name or individual name, other contact information and arrival date. You will receive a confirmation of your request and payment.
I receive an email shortly after paying the fee.
The instructions say to click on the “PayPal donate” button. But that is not what the button says, it just says “donate” and has options to use a credit card on the same screen with the “add instructions” box. Has anyone paid with a credit card successfully yet and received confirmation?
Paid with credit card (not Paypal) this morning.
Got Paypal confirmation receipt immediately via email.
Received “Thank you for your reservation” email from Craig White of Main Street Lansing about 90 minutes later.
Although this is the earliest I have seen Long Term Parking application (usually after May 1 and asking for wristband numbers), the process seems to be working.
I assume they are ramping up early funding to support the Lansing effort to support the cost of hosting riders before and after the ride.
Thanks Daryl & VIKING. Just submitted my parking request. Got the receipt. Now we wait to see if the parking reservation is the real deal. 99.99% chance it is…
If someone wants to IM me some of the info on their confirmations such as a contact name or phone number, I can try to make some discreet inquiries and maybe find out just where they are planning to stash your vehicle(s). As I’ve noted before, Lansing is literally in my back yard; it’s a very small town hemmed in by river bluffs and there ain’t a whole helluvalot of room to be had. You may end up parking a long way away (and uphill yet, if you end up in the Waukon overflow area) from all the action.

Thanks Viking and RDD! I’ll give it a try.
The email I got was from:

Director, Main Street Lansing

P.O. Box 307, Lansing. IA 52151
I just ‘donated’ also, and mentioned that I am using PBV services. Hopefully that will get us parked nearby. Haven’t heard back yet.
FYI – I emailed the Director of Lansing Chamber of Commerce regarding parking yesterday (7/16). He said parking in Lansing is closed. There is no information about that on their RAGBRAI websites. He gave no additional information about where to park. He made no mention of the status of parking in Waukon, even though I asked about that, too. I’d confirm that parking will be available if you paid. I asked several questions that he didn’t answer (for example: if I use PayPal to reserve a spot and don’t get one in Lansing, will my money be refunded?). Has anyone else received this unfriendly response from Lansing? Does anyone know of alternative (and guaranteed) parking?
Did you find parking? We are looking for parking as well and no one is returning our calls.
