Is there any place to get a printable map other than Map My Ride? I don’t need anything with too much detail, just something to show family and friends where I’ll be riding.
I asked TJ in the online chat and he said they would have another iphone app with mapmyride. So my guess is mapmyride.com will be posting the route at some point.
Kicks, did he happen to mention if it would be available as an app for Android as well? Some of us can think for ourselves and are not Apple’s sheeple. -“BB”-
Beebs!!! You are waaaaaaaaay too funny today. Reminds me of the time I had to explain to our graduate engineer what his use of the star dot star command coupled with the del command did to his files in the DOS 3.0 days.

It’s NOT the official version, but I know what you’re looking for…I made one for my own use (shows only the overnight towns — of course it is not the actual route that we’ll see when more detail is known, but in the meantime, it’s enough to show your family and friends.)
Hey MJD, Not to be nit-picking, but the third town is actually Lake View. Lake City is about 20 miles East of Lake View. (But your close enough for what your using it for…)
Thanks for the correction, Browner. I wouldn’t have caught that for a while. I’ll redo it when I get a chance (and hopefully correct the file that the link above uses.) Sorry for the confusion — I think I stayed up too late on the night I made the map and didn’t have enough brainpower left for catching that mistake.
Corrected image for the 2012 overnight towns (my earlier post was incorrect in listing Lake City rather than Lake VIEW, which is the correct town for 2012.)

Even if it is not posted by the official RAGBRAI crew, I have no doubt it will be up there in a matter of hours (at most) from somebody else
