Overnight Town Bands

I hope it’s not too early to talk about the entertainment. What bands/acts are on your wish list this year? Last year (on my 10th RAGBRAI), I finally saw Hairball in Centerville. I was blown away. I am hoping that Hairball performs in Clear Lake. That would be phenomenal.

Hairball… Sorry to those that like them but I don’t get it. Any group but Hairball. If they are booked anywhere I hope my group is camped out of earshot from where they are playing.

Hairball is an obvious (and favorite) choice. Johnny Holm Band needs to come back also. Clear Lake would be a great fit for them! Spazmatix (sp?) and Pop Rocks are top choices too!

Libido Funk Circus plays it all and has great energy. They played at a conference attended by people ranging from their 20s to 60s and had everyone dancing. http://lfcentertainment.com/

Looks like we’re getting the Johnny Holm Band in Spencer. Has anyone heard anything else about the music in the other towns?

All due respect to Dan Tedesco but I’m not a fan. The wife and I saw him open for G Love and Blues Traveler in DSM back last September and it wasn’t the best performance I’ve seen. His style doesn’t really jive with a RAGBRAI crowd.

Why not some serious IA flavor with Holy White Hounds? Id love to see them.
