Any riders coming from NC (Raleigh area). Looking to ride share?
There is a guy from the Charlotte area who has done ragbrai several years: Gene Schlaman.
Check out Agents of Fortune on Facebook, it was an experience last year riding on the blue bus to Iowa.
I live in Chapel Hill. I rode last year, not sure yet about this year. If i go, i’d love to carpool!
Thanks Heidi, once you decide let me know, I try to watch this stuff pretty closely.
Did you ride with anyone from the area last year? Are any of them going again?
I rode with a group that was from all over the place. There was one other person from NC, but we didn’t travel together. It’s looking like none of them will be riding this year. If I go (and I’ll probably decide pretty soon), I’ll probably join a team from someplace else, which means that i’ll most likely be driving up to Iowa, traveling with the team, and then after the ride, heading to Milwaukee to visit my sister. You are more than welcome to hitch a ride to Iowa with me if I go. let me know if this might work for you. I’m sure that if we both go, we can figure it out. 🙂
RIDERS – IF YOU NEED A SWEET PLACE TO STAY THAT IS OUTSIDE OF THE “FRAY” WE HAVE A LODGE IN THE RURAL CENTERVILLE AREA. WE HAVE SOME ROOMS LEFT AND ALSO HAVE SOME CAMPER HOOKUPS. IF YOU WANT TO CHAT ABOUT WHAT WE HAVE CALL 641-895-4810 AND ASK FOR PATTY
Gene and I are riding together with 6 others. taking a sprinter van…………
Hi David–I just sent you a text. are you looking for more riders? is the sprinter going to be used for sag support during the ride? is 336 greenboro?
When are you leaving (what day), and do you have more room?
Hey David. I ‘ran into Gene’ on the coastal ride in Edenton – actually @ the shower truck. He told me about your Van trip. Well, you didn’t tell me? Thanks. If you see my ole broke down van on the way and it’s “broke down”… Ya better stop and offer me a ride to Iowa. Just me. Forget the others, they can walk. Be Fun Have Safe.
