First time RV team. I see on the website that most (all?) of the official RV campgrounds won’t have services. How do we find such services each day? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

State parks/county parks that allow camping typically have such facilities. You could check and see how close these kinds of parks are to each overnight town.
The town maps on their websites and the support driver maps will show locations for these services. Support maps come out a couple of weeks before the ride. Overnight town websites and maps will be up soon if not already. We always dry camp for the week so I can’t tell you how long the lines are at dump sites.
Our driver uses an android app to find dump stations. I think it is called “RV Dump Stations” Most of the time she finds them along the vehicle route. Either a truck stop or rest stops along the way. Rarely does she use a dump station in the overnight town.
following!
Dump stations in the overnight towns take a long time; it’s better to dump along the way at designated rest stops or gas stations. We reserved camp sites at campgrounds for the week which makes it all so much easier.
Are the RV lots only open on the day the ride stops at each town?
eg. If we wanted to start at Jefferson could we park there say on the 22nd, the day before the ride gets there?
Trevor, contact the Jefferson RAGBRAI committee. I suspect that you would be able to do that if you contact them and make arrangements in advance. If they turn you down contact the churches in Jefferson, surely at least one of the will hook you up with a spot to camp the night before.
Bridgeport Campground in Sigourney has a dump station available. $10 to dump
