Start/End points

Simple question (I hope). How/where are the actual start and end points in each town? Just curious, when the route says we’re going 62 miles for any given day. How is that measured? I’m not looking for theories or opinions. But, if anyone has the “official” answer, I’d be interested in knowing it. Thanks.

I don’t know the answer and would like to know as well. I will add my theory on it though. I think it seems to be from city limit to city limit.

We ended up with almost 10 bonus miles today. Clocked in at 71.4 miles. It took us 10 miles to get to the first town instead of 5, and we weren’t that far from the main campground.

I too am wondering the same thing. We quite often had 5-10 miles over the predicted miles each day.

With the century loop, I finished with 508 total miles. And that’s not even counting the ride back to my charter after dipping in Keokuk. Every day was at least 5-10 miles over.
