RAGBRAI LI Route Announced on Jan. 27!

Team Navy Jerseys

Hi Folks –

I always get a lot of questions and requests, so figured I’d make a post here for anyone interested. Team Navy is bringing back our 2008 design for this year. This was our most complimented and requested jersey we’ve had. If you want one, please contact me (either here or through the team website: http://www.teamnavycycling.org) by April 20th.

Sorry, the image button doesn’t work and it won’t let me edit the post.

Fixed it for ya.
Although I’d like to see one saluting Naval Aviation with the saying they were using a while back about “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of All Those Who Threaten It”.

How much $$ for the jersey?

I have that one – it’s my favorite! Princess approved! ;)

The jersey with the carrier of about four years ago is a long time favorite of mine. Although my sentiments are with the Black Knights I will say that bike jersey is one of my all time favorites.

As an old salt I’d be interested in your Team Navy Jersey. I rode reefers for four years off VietNam on the Graffias, Zelima, Procyon and Vega (WWII era AF’s). What’s the cost of your jersey?

Thanks, Bill.

They’re $65 each. Figure about $6 to mail it unless you want to get it in Iowa.

We should have them around the end of June or first week of July.

As for the carrier (Life, Liberty…) one (from 2007), that may make an encore performance one of these years, too!

Nice looking jersey. Reminded me of riding with another proud navy man last year as a group of us were on our way to a covered bridge near Red Oak, GA. The navy guy was up ahead on his hybrid riding near the center line when a car came up from behind. We yelled “car back” several times to no avail, but the car passed safely. As I approached him, I asked “didn’t you hear us say car back?” He shouted back “twenty years in the engine room!”

Love the jersey but would feel funny wearing it when I’ve never been in the Navy, CG, or Marine Corps. If it supports the Navy Cycling team, I’m all over it.
